Valentino remained true to its House esthetic and dressed its models in airy, fitted dresses in light fabrics and soft colors and prints. The occasional pop of color was due to some pink, red and black shades or by neon accents combined with soft colors. The incredibly flattering silhouettes keep the form of last season's collection, but that's the beauty of it: they're always reinventing themselves, the innovation comes in some hidden pleats, in an exaggerated shoulder or in the intricate lace patterns. The models are all wearing flats making them even more ethereal and delicate.
My absolute favorite look is (you probably guessed it by now!) the stunning red lace dress in the opening photo. When I saw it I said to myself it can't get better than this and while I was right about that, still there are a lot of exceptional garments like the first few white or black dresses with sheer lace patterns, the two belted knee-length dresses, the sheer gown with black and neon yellow embroidery or the silver dresses towards the end of the show.
