Director: Jean-Jacques Annaud
The new ad for the Dior perfume j'adore was released, starring the beautiful Charlize Theron for the second time. Shot exclusively at the Chateau de Versailles in the Hall of Mirrors, the ad was thought as a tribute to famous beauties of the past, with Grace Kelly, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe co-starring alongside Charlize. Asked about shooting this ad, Charlize said that "It was incredibly glamorous and fantastic. I don't think I'll experience something like that again in my lifetime."
I really liked the video because it's full of motion and the director, Jean-Jacques Annaud, managed to capture that backstage frenzy so characteristic of a big fashion show - all the buzz, the flashes of the paparazzi, the golden invitations and the public waiting impatiently for the start of the show. In the midst of all this excitement, Charlize appears strutting the halls of Versailles with such confidence as if she owned the palace. She did a great job in exuding this amazing confidence with which the perfume is associated.
Here are some stills from the video and the ad itself right after that:
