Jason Wu was a pleasant surprise for the beginning of the second day at the New York Fashion Week. His show can be summarized by interesting shapes and a black and white color palette sprinkled with colors from time to time. The tailored pants and the embellished collars on the buttoned-up shirts created a playful contrast with the feminine shapes of the skirts and dresses. I would have maybe preferred some slightly lighter frames on the gowns, but the overall impression was a good one. Among my favorite pieces are the tailored shorts, the crisp white dress, the playfulness of the sheer and full material on the black and white dress and the two yellow dresses.
